Bless Lucy Knisley
The the hours, days, weeks, months? of work that must have gone into this insanely intricate illustration by Lucy Knisley deserves a creative award. Lucy created a poster that visually summarizes all 7 parts of J.K Rowling’s epic adventure. I grew up reading Harry Potter and it will always have a very special place in my heart but Lucy takes the title of number 1 fan in my book.
I want to hang this in my livingroom.

Puma ForeverFaster

I am so proud to see that these ads have finally made it out to the world. Art direction and design by my design team at JWT New York, here are examples of the 34th Street Herald Square NYC train statation takeover. One example from the launch of the global Puma campaign, Forever Faster featuring Hussain Bolt, Mario Balotelli, Marta, Fowler and other master athletes. Look for other executions around the city and the rest of the world!

This poster is so dope. Designed by Swiss graphic designer Dominique Schmitz. See more of his work here http://www.domizai.ch

#itsnotwarming By Milton Glaser

Glaser, the living graphic design legend (most famous for his I Love NY logo) has just launched a campaign called “It’s Not Warming It’s Dying.” The clever naming repositions the now ignorable “Global Warming” term into one that creates urgency about our planet’s climate change. And he made pins! Buy some to support the cause at itsnotwarming.com.

In Glaser’s words “If one is looking for a purpose and theme to their life, avoiding the worst event in human history is a good place to begin.”

New York City’s Subway as Animated Stringed Instrument

Brooklyn Native Alexander Chen created www.mta.me, a microsite that takes live data from the New York City train system and displays it as art. WHen two trains intersect, the lines are plucked like a stringed instrument. Oh so cool.

Nice short read that anyone can relate to…

I just stumbled upon the work of Berlin based illustrator Rafael Verona on Behance. His quirky self-promotional GIFS are too cool to scroll past. You can check out the rest of this project here.
